Eeeee your bestie is soon to be married and what better way to send her off into the sunset than with her girls, a few too many tequilas and a day/night/weekend to remember! Celebrate your bridechikka with some of my favourite hen party alternatives and give yourself a high five for your epic event planning skills! -snap-

 

1. Painting Parties

Art In Bloom are known for their fun nude charcoal drawing and clay sculpting class, which is $55pp for 10-15 people. The cost goes down the more people that attend. It's a 1 hour 15 minute event with all materials included (clay, willow charcoal, aprons, charcoal paper etc), and a very fit male nude model and professional and fun artist guiding the event. Feel free to be as conservative or cheeky as you want with 4 great activities involving charcoal and clay sculpting. Hosted at a venue of your choice or at their gorgeous studio location in Ponsonby.

Charcoal not your thing, no worries! Their Wine and Paint Parties will have you unleashing that Picasso you know is inside, They have BYO events at their Ponsonby location with all materials included, 2 hr event for just $55pp.

 

2. The Caker

The gorg team over at The Caker are busy making everything lovely for you, their space is a pastel heaven with trimmings of gold to make you feel like a modern day goddess surrounded by delectable cakes, teas and wee takeaway favours. The space can be hired for a 2 hour event a.k.a epic tea party and caters for 10 - 30 people. Located on K’road you can start the night with tea party and head out to your fav bar to dance the night away!

 

3. Twerk it out!

I personally attended this class for a bachelorette and I’m still reaping the benefits (on the dance floor) get that booty shaking girl! Your trainer at Twerk It Out will run through some simple (yet effective) twerk combinations, ending in a little routine with a few prizes thrown in. At $25 per person its a steal too! 4. Mobile Spa & Massage (get zen ladies)

The lovely ladies at Mobile Beauty and Auckland Massage bring the spa to you, kick back, pour yourself a bubbles, enjoy a massage and get your nails did with your besties mmmhhhmmm.

 

5. Sachies Kitchen

I looooove Sachies Kitchen!! And not only because their food is incred but they put on something really special! Top shelf facilities and the friendliest staff you’ll want to roll them up in your sushi and take them home. Whether its a dumpling class ($55pp) or if you’re up for the Geisha challenge ($95pp) get your chikkas together for some edible fun (my fav kind). 

 

6. Glamping!!

Get back to the roots and go glamping! Sit under the stars in style, get cosy around the campfire, share stories and celebrate the bride to be, I’ll cheers to that! Here’s a list of a few goodies below! 7. Flower Crown Party

The lovely ladies over at Florries run incredible flower crown tutorial parties!!!  You and your gals learn to make epic floral head pieces then wear them wherever the night takes you! All flowers and materials are provided, hosted at a venue of your choice, anywhere in Auckland. Costs start from $30 per person (10pax minimum). Classes take around 1-1.5 hours.
